    hi indira h ru

thanks for your reply, here in chennai it too hot how abt the climate in canada can i have your face book id , if u don’t mind, here is my query, how this credential assessment help to hoteliers

    1. It’s freezing here 😉 Well it all depends, it’s not mandatory for the non regulated occupations, but it’s good to have them handy. It all depends on the particular employer’s requirements.

    hi indira,

thanks for your reply , ur helping me a lot

here is my query, my family and i are planning to move to canada, i have already told that i have new born babe, we are planning to take him along with us , as u said short landing , means the very next day i can come back to india or i have to take my pr and come , b’coz it is very tough to have new born babe with us when v r in canada , as we are new to the place once we settle down we thought to take him, here my parents will take care of him , as my freinds said with out pr card we can’t enter canada again once we landed
, how much time it take to get pr card,

can i have your face book id

    regards
    madhu

    1. Yes, the visa that you recieved is a single entry. So, once you land, that visa is cancelled. You guys HAVE to wait for the PR cards to arrive before you leave Canada. Some use another option, but I wouldn’t recommend this one. You can leave the next day to India, and give one of your trusted friends’ address for the PR cards while landing. That way, the PR cards will go to their place and they will send it to you somehow. The risk here is that it could get lost while in transit(if sent by courier or mail to India) or sometimes it takes more than usual(31 business days) for the PR cards to arrive and if that is the case, you cannot re-enter until they are received by your friend and in turn you. And you have to be HERE to followup with the PR cards application if there is anything.

It would be wise for you guys to stay here until you receive the PR cards. Believe me it’s not worth the risk you take with the above option.

    1. Sorry for the late response. The visa you received is a single entry and once you have the PR cards, multiple entry 🙂

    1. Same to you 🙂 Hoe to see you guys here soon..

Usually for the RPRF we pay in INR. But we need not pay that for the kids :). I guess you are talking about the application fee. Please correlate it with the NDVO letter asking for the same. I guess it should be in INR too.

    1. I wish the same for you and your family 🙂

As already said, the principal applicant has to show the proof of funds for the entire family even though they are not accompanying. Once you land successfully, they can land later and will not be asked to show POF at POE.

I got my masters from IIT. Looking to get the assessment done before I land there.

    Thnx,

    1. Well, for me I don’t have a need for credential assessment yet. For my spouse, he had to go through his professional regulatory body for that and so we do not have personal experiences.
10 days is a very small time, you can come here and apply.

      Indira Prabhakaran.

  1. A great post, Indira. And you’re right – the sooner you can start the process, the better. It can take some time so it’s good to plan ahead! And if you can work with an , they’ll be able to look at your individual case and make specific recommendations to expidite the process. Thanks for sharing these resources!

    Hi Indira ,
I am an IT professional and planning to initiate my PR for Canada .
as the intitial steps i am planning to initiate my ECA . I have obtained my Bachelors from Pondicherry University and a Diploma from State board of technical education .
When i checked the WES site they mentioned that the controller of examination or a registrar could attest the copies and send in a sealed envelope.

At present i live out of India and i would like to know if any organization in India does this process of getting the required attestation from the respective universities . If so could you please let me know the details.

    my email id is rajeevnair19@gmail.com

    1. Hi Rajeev,
Thanks for stopping by. I don’t think there are organizations doing this in India. Even if there is, don’t bother hiring them. Just get one of your family members in India to do it for you. All they have to do it approach the office of Registrar or the controller of examinations at the university and get them attested by either one of them. They will have to have all the original documents handy. They have to attest photocopies of all mark sheets and the degrees and then put their official seal(right where the envelope is sealed intact) after sealing the envelope. One additional seal might be put on the front of the envelope. That is it. You get that envelope and then mail with your other paperwork and cover letter to WES or any other org that demands university sealed transcripts.

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

    Hi Indira ,

Could you please address one more concern / query . In case we get nominated for a PR by a province ( example : quebec ) and then after we land up in that province in Canada and are unable to find a suitable job , is it possible to travel to any other provinces in Canada ( example : Ontario) and search / apply / work in any pther provinces which might have the requirements for our relevant skills.

Waiting to hear your expert advice .

    Regards
    Rajeev

    1. If you are talking about the PNP program, i think you will have to spend a minimum time in the province after landing, before you move to other province. but if it is not PNP, then you can land anywhere and live anywhere.

      Thanks,

    1. I have already submitted my application in express entry without selecting the ECA option for my wife. Can that be updated later on receipt of the ICAS/IQAS report?
    2. She has completed her full time MBA from a college affiliated to Sikkin Manipal University. The same doesnot appear in WES. Which other ECA agency would you prefer to get the same done as we have a cummulative score of 402 whereas it might add 10 more points to our application.

I’m a university graduate from Nigeria, I’m having hard time of choosing between IQAS and WES…. Pls I just need to know which one is the best. Below was the process sent to me for IQAS and it seems to be different to WES.

    1. Register and take the General IELTS exam you must both score a min of 8.5 per band so if it means you get an instructor please do.

    2. Credential Evaluation – This is the evaluation of ALL your certificates and qualifications to establish their Canadian equivalence.
