Application Received by VO

Yes, we got our ECAS updated yesterday(3rd March 2011) that our physical application file has reached the Visa office at New Delhi :). That’s just 20 days from our PER date! I just can’t believe it could be this fast, as initially people had to wait for 3 months to get their files transferred to the VOs. We have moved from the RBVO queue to the 2nd AOR queue now. For reference, here’s the stages of process once again for the FSW applicants post June 26, 2010.

  • Application Received by CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia
  • Payment en-cashed after the completeness check of your application by CIO
  • PER(Positive Eligibility Review) email from the CIO. From here on we can check the ECAS. Initially the ECAS will read ‘Application Received’ and inside the link to read

We received your application for permanent residence on XXXX(App received by CIO date)
Medical results have been received.(This is an absolute bug)

  • ECAS to read ‘Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE’ and inside the link to read,

We received your application for permanent residence on XXXX(App received by CIO date).
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on XXXX(PER email date). Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

  • ECAS to read ‘Received by the Visa Office’. This confirms our application reached the VO.
  • 2nd AOR from the VO/ ECAS to read ‘In Process’, the inside link of the ECAS to read,

We received your application for permanent residence on XXXX(App received by CIO date).
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on XXXX(PER email date). Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on XXXX.

Here the 2nd AOR can be sent by email or snail mail(New Delhi is into severe cost cutting and so they use a 10 INR postage paid snail mail :)).

  • Medicals/Right to Permanent Resident Fees/PCCs request by the VO. This is by snail mail. New Delhi uses Registered post for this :).
  • Passports request by the VO(Again, New Delhi is in to cost cutting and so they prefer to ask for the passports along with the medicals/RPRF/PCC requests itself)
  • Interview(For most applicants this will be waived)
  • ECAS to read ‘Decision Made’
  • We receive the stamped passports and COPR papers :).

        Hi Indira,

Great Job on the blog. Just wanted to know your view… my ecas staus went from “Application Received” directly to ” IN Process”. well is that good or bad. I applied under NOC 6241 CHEF. Kinda confused. I have applied to the ND VO for my second AOR and medical papers. Any advice and clarification will be much appreciated.

        Thank you

        Amogh

        1. Hello Amogh:) Thanks!

The ECAS has been so inconsistent lately, and we are still experiencing bugs. So that’s not 100% reliable. I would like to ask your complete timelines so i can answer effectively. Your application received date(CIO), PER(Positive Eligibility Review email from CIO) date etc., And whether you have heard anything from the New Delhi VO at all?

          Thanks,

          Indira Prabhakaran.

      1. For London VO, the processing times are a bit on the longer side.. Do not worry, as long as the details in your application are genuine, you will sail through..

    Application received 31-12-2010
    BD cashed on 10-01-2011
Ecas status on 3rd March 2011 = Application Received
    PER received on 12th March
Ecas status on 12th march Application received
Ecas Status on 15th March “IN PROCESS”.

    What do you think.

    Cheers

    1. This is a bug:) It should have turned to CIO ER COMPLETE after the application received. Not to worry, you will have to wait until you get some communication(2nd AOR) from VO. Please confirm your PER email says they are transferring your file to ND VO.

      Thanks,

Hi, My ECAS status is IN PROCESS. The last line says …started processing on March 16, 2011. In your notes, does the status IN PROCESS mean Medical Request is on its way? My VO is manila and I understand yours is ND.

    1. Yes, IN Process means your background check is on and your medicals will reach you as soon as it’s done 🙂 Good luck!

    Hi,

Today, i had a talk with my Immigration Representative and asked about my 2nd AOR and the status -Centralized Intake Office Sydney

(CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete detailed-We received your application for permanent residence on June 8, 2010. We reviewed your

application and sent you a letter on October 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. Your application and

supporting documents were received by the Sydney, Nova Scotia – C-50 office. They are pending review and they..Still instead of RBVO. (As docs received date is 04 Jan 2011)Said to me that my docs seem to be parceled again to Nova Scotia for Duties Verification.???

Well why did ND do that as i’m pre june applicant and if so then why they are not sending me any notifications till now (written or change in status)? If they are treating me as post june applicant then its time to send medicals because most of them (postjune) are getting that…

Please advice me as i’ve already submitted them an inquiry..and indeed it will going to take extra times say one month…but i want to know where the hell are my documents?

    Need urgent reply!!!

    Rgds,
    PalNP

    1. Hello Pawan,

I can understand your situation. So, I’m not sure i remember your timelines correctly. It’s pretty clear that you are a Pre-Juner and why would they treat you as a Post-Juner? There is something wrong here. It’s clear that you received your 1st AOR from CIO, Sydney and then you submitted the entire documentation package to New Delhi VO, and after that you did not receive further confirmation from the VO?

Please confirm your timelines again for me to help you further.

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

This is my current details –
    Application Submitted: 8 June 2010
    PER Received: 4 Oct 2010
Full Documents Forwarded to New Delhi VO: 3 Jan 2011/
Received by VO: 4 Jan 2011

    Current ecas Status:

    W/ Details:
We received your application for permanent residence on June 8, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney, Nova Scotia – C-50 office. They are pending review.

    Pawan

    1. Hi Pawan,

That’s confusing enough:). Now, what you received on 4th October 2010 is your 1st AOR and not PER. PER is Positive Final Determination of Eligibility for Processing and that’s something impossible without an eligibility review on your entire documentation package. In your case, ND VO is supposed to do that. Only for the applications received at CIO, Sydney on or after 26th June 2010, CIO, Sydney started to do that. Usually ND VO sends out a second AOR once they receive their entire documentation package and when they are ready to process the application(the eligibility review).
Now that you have not got that, you can send them a case specific inquiry and ask them to confirm they received all the documents you sent them in Jan. The link for that is https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

        Hello Idira,

Ourcase is similar to Pawan’s case. As of March 8, 2012, status on CHC site is Your documents are received by New Delhi and are Pending Review. My husband has applied for PR on June 11, 2010 with NOC 0213 and received 1st AOR on Oct 2010 and after submitting all relevant Docs received 2nd AOR on 1 Jan 2011. As of now I have not got any updates from CHC. I have applied through Representative. Any idea about appx when can I expect next step? Also, on CHC site they mention 18 months of processing time for applicants who have applied bet 2008 and june 2010, so does that include complete processing of application or period till just getting medical?

        1. Well, have you read my latest post ‘quick note to my readers’?

everything seemed to be ok till second AOR, but now its almost 28 days still no request for medicals. what could be probale reason??
And also pls tell is it necessary for me to send all docs(docs which were first send to cio sydney) again to new delhi visa office along with PR fees just now without receiving any request from new delhi vo.

    1. Hello Roopesh 🙂

Welcome to this site:). Well, everything is still going right as far as your timelines are concerned :). You are not alone. One person has received his medicals after 45 days from his AOR and so you can relax. Just that some application takes an extra while for the background checks and processing. Please stay tuned for updates and keep us posted about your progress. You might also want to add yourself to the below ND Visa tracker? Let me know if you are interested.

    THANKS

    1. Hello 🙂 Great news.. I do not understand as to how you added up to 1100$? If it was the processing fees sent to the CIO, if you have added the kids to the application, you are required to send the fees for your kids too. If not, you are lucky to have come through that, now please contact the VO about this to check if you can send the fees for the kids now. Otherwise, you risk your kids being excluded from the application.

      Thanks,

hello indira, we have applied for bc pnp in march 2011 and received approval letter in sept 2011. we then submitted our file for pr at ND IN NOV 2011. it was received on 7 nov and we paid processing fee and rprf together with application. on nov 14 we received medical req and ppr. we have our medicals done on 21 nov 2011 and send passports on 23 nov 2011. our ecas shows appli recvd by ndvo on nov 7. i want to know what is the next step or when will be getting our visas? and is landing fee and rprf one and the same thing? do we also have to wait for 2nd aor? thanks…

        1. In your case, there will be no 2nd AOR. So, after you sent medicals, landing fee(RPRF) and passports, you just have to wait for the visas. It could take anywhere from 15 days to 6 months.

here i am not sure why things are not via email,, while normally they send every e-mail… whats your opinion on that , if they registered me its means that my basic review is positive ? so should i wait till they send postal mail ?

  2. Hi Indira. You are doing a decent job of providing guidance in ambiguity.

Here’s my time line. Please let me know what you think.

Application received by CIO Sydney: 22nd Feb 2011
PER(1st AOR) from Sydney, Nova Scotia: 30th March 2011

Currently the e-CAS still shows the status: Eligibility Review Completed,File will be transferred to the Visa Office.

Do not know if the ND VO has even received my application. Do you think it takes such a long time for file transfer or could it be just another case of the e-CAS not showing the correct status. What should I do?

Will the next step from the ND VO be the Passport/MR/PPC/Landing fee request or will there be a 2nd AOR?

From my time line and looking at the speed at which ND is processing, when should I expect the visa?

    Thanks,

    Gautam.

    1. Hi Gautham 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog :). Here’s the link to the tracker which has ALL details of New Delhi applicants like us. You should be able to predict things very easily through that. But i would like to confirm that there are always exceptions like my 2nd AOR for instance. About 80% of the applicants fall into a normal predictable time line.

Hi Indira, just a few questions regarding my boyfriends application. Well my boyfriend’s application as my Conjugal partner has been approved by the Canadian Immigration last January 2011. The Manila Visa Office already requested his passport last february 2011, he sent it right away.. The Ecas status has not changed since January 2011, it still says APPLICATION RECEIVED. When you open it, you’ll see the message saying “We received Craig John’s application for permanent residence on January 18, 2011.” Isn’t it supposed to say “IN PROCESS” since we have sent his passport already? Does the Application Received status mean they are processing it? His medical will expire July 2011.. THANK YOU for your time 🙂

    1. Hello Frances,

I assume you are applying on the family class? I’m not sure about the ECAS and process for that class and so i suggest you send them a case specific inquiry.

    1. Hello 🙂

Congrats for PER and yes, AOR is your second step if you are from NDVO. Well for your second question, you bet you have one you know ;). Yes, Prab(my spouse) is an architect and we received our visas 🙂

Yes I am From NDVO but dont know where to chq 2nd AOR, according to google spreadsheet i was expecting by 9th June 2011 or 21 working days, but not receieved till now. Can You Please tell, wheather they call on phone to banks to chq your financial status.

What is the stage when one can be sure of getting VISA

    1. Hi Vishal,

NDVO doesn’t seem to follow a logical order in processing, yes some applications take longer than others. So, you will have to wait. Yes, they have a way to check the POF amount from banks and it’s mostly done at the online/emails level and not via phone.

There is a chance for things to go wrong at ay stage until stamping, so it depends 🙂

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

    1. hello 🙂

That is not your interview, just a verification call. You can expect your medicals soon, but your representative will receive it. Usually medicals arrive via registered post.

Good luck for your medicals and PR 🙂

    hi indira
i sent my application and received by the cio on 25 feb 2011
they encashed my cc on 2 march 2011
up to first of july 2011 i got neither e mail nor mail from cio about my status
i became worry and according to the advice of some friends on forum i sent to them enquiry
the cio replied by giving me application number E0000 then 5 numbers
and stated that my application is awaiting review by an officer
i used this application number as file number on cio electronic site to check my status unhopfully
the surprise that i found the following
we received your application on 25 feb
we reviewed your application and sent you a letter on 31 march plz consider delay in mail delivery before contacting us ( my status till now eligability review complete)

i sent to cio another e mail asked how come to write that eligability review complete and u sent me a letter and i got nothing by mail or e mail till now
    they replied as follow
No letter has been sent. Notification will be sent upon completion of the assessment of the file. It will be sent via the e-mail address on your application.

The online system (E-CAS) is a computer system that automatically updates during key periods throughout the creation and assessment of your file. However, at times the information that is transferred to the E-CAS system is erroneous. This issue has been brought to the attention of the appropriate party for resolution.

    Thank you for your patience.
really i dont know what is happening ?
is the number they sent to me staring with E is my file number and if it is my file number does that mean that i got positive eligability review or i have to wait to have positive or negative decision

some people said that the next step will be received by visa office (my visa office is cairo ,egypt)

    really indira i am confused
    can u advice
    regards
    dr ahmed

    1. Please contact the CSU :). Details below.

How to Contact the Centralized Intake Office?

If you are a Skilled Worker applicant and you have a request for case information you may contact the Client Service Unit of the Central Intake Office. If you applied within the last six weeks, the CSU will not respond to your enquiry.

You will not receive a reply to your email if:

      1. you have not already applied as a federal skilled worker
      2. you are not authorized to receive personal information
      3. you applied within the last six weeks
      4. your enquiry concerns any other topic.

Please do not send the same enquiry more than once. You can reach the CSU at FSW‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca.

        1. OK, the time to get medical requests again depends on how complex the file is. They may take anywhere between 15 days to 6 months to verify and process the file for medical requests. The process is outlined here http://indiraprabhakaran.com/blog/fsw/the-process/
Sorry I cannot predict your medicals date.

Today when i was checking my ECAS status, it is still in RBVO and the address has been disappeared. This happened before also, at that time when the address came again the status was updated to RBVO from PER. So this time i am waiting for medicals, did this happened to you any time. How did you got your medicals by postal mail or e-mail, if it is postal mail i dont how long it will take to get delivered, because i am already in Toronto, Canada.

    Regards

    1. Hi Vishal,

Our address never appeared before we received medicals I guess.. So, this thing is not a rule :). Medicals come in a registered postal mail. So, the address in ECAS is Toronto one, is it? Might take some extra time for it to reach you there.

I understand that the VO has sent you a letter on Sept 11th and you haven’t yet received it? That letter may have more info on the status of the application. Sorry to say this, but usually ‘Decision Made’ before medicals is usually negative, but hey there have been so many bugs with the ECAS recently. 1. Hi Pram,

Yes, this is a Pre June application and so the processing times are forever increasing. There are a few lucky guys in this batch who managed to get their application through within a year, but then a majority of them are still waiting. Usually they consider the date when Sydney office receives the application. Patience is the key!

      1. Well, every file is different in terms of straight forwardedness or complications and so the first in first out cant be possible. Inquiry once in 3 months is OK 🙂 but they are not going to put your file down the queue for that.

If your previous application was rejected because of not able to prove your language skills(read insufficient points), it shouldn’t affect your new application anyway. The delay in your current application is not caused by your old rejection, but because most of the applications in your batch are taking more than 2 years to get processed at the NDVO.

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

because my consultant says you cannot file to other program as it will make negative impact on my case as my case is already in fast track.is it true?????mam
    thanks

    1. Hi Amar,

I guess you can apply for Manitoba PNP if you qualify. It will not affect your current application, as long as you declare that you already have an application pending.

    hi indira
i saw in the cic site that the have increased the processing time
my vo is london where the processing time has been changed from 20 month till
23 months so does it means this system is applied even for 2010 applicant
or to the july 2011 my application recived by vo in 2/3/2011
and does it effect the time of processing ( e case showing in process started in oct 2011)

    thanks and best regards
    reem

    1. Hi Reem,

The 23 months timeline is for Applications received BETWEEN November 28, 2008 and June 25, 2010 and that means they are referring to the applications submitted under the 38 occupations list(MI 1). This will not apply for the applications received under the 29 occupations list/ received after June 26th 2010.

      Thanks,

    1. I cannot predict the date you will get the medicals, it depends on the compelxity of your file and the number of checks required from the visa officer’s end. Have you got a chance to read http://indiraprabhakaran.com/blog/timelines/ and http://indiraprabhakaran.com/blog/fsw/the-process/ ?

    Hi Indira,

I am Hareesh from Bangalore, I have applied for the FSW category on 22FEB 2007, I just checked the my PR application status which shows “In Process” , since its going to be 5 years now I haven’t checked it quite often, I got a email from CIC New Delhi to send a email to withdraw or don’t reply to continue with my PR application in 2008.

Please update me what will be the next process, if its medical’s or request for additional documents, I got married recently and would like to add my Spouse to my PR application, Kindly advice how to identify the next step of PR process and when do I add my Spouse to my PR application.

As mentioned in your blog will New Delhi CIC send me a snail mail through post, I didn’t check my PR application status changes often hence this confusion.

    Regards
    Hareesh

    1. Hi Haresh,

This only means that your file is out and dusted and put in the queue for processing. When they are ready to process the file, they will send a letter out confirming the next steps. Please send them a case specific inquiry now, quoting your file number to indicate that you want to include your spouse into the applciation. Theyw ill contact you with details on how to do that.

      Thanks,

    Hi there,
Really loved to see such a deep explanation about the timeline. highly appreciated.
PLz help me in some of the question i have in my mind. but 1st plz hv a look on my timeline given below.

    Category……..: MPNP
    Visa Office……: New Delhi VO
    App. Filed…….: 5th Aug 2011 online MPNP
    Nomination(relative in canada): Interviewed 22 aug 2011
AOR Received.: LOA received 23 Sep. 2011
    File Transfer…: 28 OCT 2011 AOR from NDVO 7 Nov.2011
Med’s Request: 14 NOv. 2011( by e-mail + RPRF request + passport submission+ police verification for stay in abroad)

Now i appeared for my medical on 25th nov 2011 n d very next day i sent the RPRF and my passports to NDVO also as i have been in NEw Zealand for 3 yrs i sent them my consent to go through my police verification in NZ. after 3-4 days i checked the courier delivery status online which says it was delivered on 28 Nov 2011. but till then i have not received any confirmation of receiving my docs n medicals, neither there is any update in my E-CAS status, it is as before ” we received ur application on 7 nov. 2011″

M worried whether my passport have been received by them or not ? can u guide me to send them an e-mail to ask for it or should i wait ? how long it will take to issue visas ?

    Best Regards

    1. Irrespective to the type of application for PR, the time taken for stamping and returning the passports by NDVO is anywhere from 15 days to 6 months. They usually do not acknowledge receipt of passports. All we can do is wait until our day!

for us they have just asked for med and RPRF ..

well if all goes well then we surely will touch base after we land 🙂

Thanks once again for a wonderful Blog … Keep it up !!

    1. Thanks so much 🙂

NDVO usually asks for medicals, passports and RPRF together, however I know of a handful of people who were asked to submit the passports after their medicals were received. It all depends on the particular situation and the VO.

    Dear Ms.Indra

    Good Day

i want to have ur kind openion in my case as i am in great stress now a daz..
this has been around 21 months as i submitted my immigration application to visa office london, during the process i also add my daughter newly born, but after one month i received a letter stating that they can not incash the check from the said bank so kindly replace the draft and send it again. during this time i did not received any official letter which is termed as (2nd AOR). but the file number in the current letter was different from the old one, and with this file number only i can track my application and i can not track up my application with old file number.

further i send enquireis to london office which they replied that all the required documens are kept in my file if they need any further assisstance they will write to me.

My eacase status is showing the following status; we received your application for the perminnet resisedence on xxxxx month. no othe information is inculded/

    my question is :

should i consider the second number received with a return bank draft letter as a 2nd AOR.

or i have to wait further kindly look inot this issue and guide me i will be very much grateful to you.

    thank you and kind regards

    1. As a pre June 2010 applicant, your application should be in the processing queue but they are taking longer than declared time to process them. But did you send another draft for adding the kid to your application? Yes the vo could have a second file number for your application and that could be your 2nd AOR.

Reason:Ielts has two options general training and academic. you must take the General training option.

This is the only reason my application have been returned. what to do, now the quota is almost is an ending stage.

    2. Once the application has returned will i be able to apply or any particular time period is there ( I think my case is not rejected),

Please give full information in this regards.

    1. Hi Akhila,

Sorry to hear that, but yes they do return the applications that are not complete or compliant. This is not rejection and so you can obviously re-apply anytime. Please take the general IELTS and apply asap before the cap is full.

      Thanks,

  4. Dear Ms. Indira

We are under MI-1 applicants for permanent residence.

We received your application for permanent residence on April 30, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August 10, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.(dated Nov.22,2011)

Is this a good sign as per our consultant says it is..Do you think we will have news soon?

    Thank you!

    1. I’m afraid this doesn’t look like a good sign. Decision Made before medicals could be a bad thing. Please wait for the VO to contact you. BTW what was the letter dated Aug 2010 about? Also, this could be a bug in ECAS.

      Indira Prabhakaran.

      1. Dear Ms.Indira

The letter was about our application being recommended to the visa office for final review and was requested to submit a complete application to manila office..

        Thank you.

        1. I suggest you contact your VO for more info. I now suspect a bug in your ECAS.

I had recently applied for p.r under FSW (NOC 3113) and my file reached CIO on 4th of january,2012.At that time total no. of applicants were 477 and till today it is 497…

Mam do you think that i have a chance before the cap gets filled as CIO may have a backlog of files…

How much time they usually take for completeness check and BD to get cashed?

    1. There are good chances that your file makes it to CAP. Let’s hope for the best. They take about around 1 to 4 weeks to en-cash.

    hello mam,
Instead of showing $13837 as a POF (for 2 persons),i was able to produce a bank certificate of INR 6,50,000 only (i.e$12828) in the form of TDR (TERM FIXED DEPOSIT) at the time of filing my application to cio on 4/1/12..
So the thing is now whether a shortage of almost a $1000 will have any negative impact on PROCESSING OF MY FILE?? and if anything now,i can do to correct myself?

    1. I’m not sure about how this will be evaluated. If they have a query they will contact you.

I received my file number on Jan,2012
I’m waiting for the letter to confirm my situation as second file number from London,
My status in the Ecas showing “In Process”,
But still I didn’t receive neither the letter nor the second file number,
What do you think, is it ok?
Or, might be changed from In Process to Received your application?
I think In Process is better to appear, what do you think?
    Please help me,
    Thnx a lot,

    1. Yes, sometimes that letter takes forever to come.. As long as your application is ‘In Process’ you are safe!

    Hi Indira,

what is the chances to get verification call to person or his/her employer? i mean i just want to have idea because I also know that it depends on file to file. In which cases they generally do so?

    Krishna

    1. Chances are 50%. And most of the checks are random. May be less supporting documents or unprofessional job letters can attract a verification.

    Hello,

I am not sure if this right place for my question. I am going through provincial program, QSW – Quebec skilled worker. I got my CSQ issued in October’11. I wanted to send it to New Delhi VO but my CSQ was printed with Buffalo as VO. I submitted my application to CIO, Sydney, and they received the same on Jan 5th 2012. I received a positive response on opening of my file on Feb 2nd 2012 and along with it medical request form was also attached. my email subject had Acknowledgement Receipt Buffalo. IS this is the one and only AOR i will be having? I got my UCI, EP— and paper file no B05… I finsihed my medicals very next day and checked with clinic they sent the docs to ottawa.

QSW applicants dont need to submit any work experience or degree as its verified in the interview we had for our CSQ.

Is this new process? I am getting things little faster as compared to other applicants. As per the process if medicals are done, within 1month PPR comes, but in my case the assessment wouldnt ve been dont withi 28days of submitting the application right? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Prasan

I have received 4 forms of medical examination from immigration office. Three forms have correct particular in it but one form which belongs to my son contains wrong date of birth as 01-10-2006.

My son’s correct date of birth is 02-10-2006 and same is clearly mentioned in all the record as well as correctly mentioned in my immigration application which I sent them two years ago.

Please advise me in the matter whether I shall go to proceed for medical exam or shall wait for immigration office to mail me by post the revised medical form for which I have requested through email but no reply received so far from Canada.

Waiting for your urgent reply due to time constrain of 90 days.

    1. Please send them a hard copy of the letter by courier too. Wait for a couple of weeks, and then go ahead and do the medicals for all of you except the kid if you still did not receive any communication from them. I hope you will receive the revised forms for the kid before that.

Why these CIC people take 3-4 months to return back the file??do they keep some of the files as standby so that if some files get rejected later on then they can consider the files kept in waiting..

Mam can i apply as a dental therapist cause duties are almost same?
for applying as a therapist do i have to wait till the file comes back or i can apply with new set of documents or is there anything possible so that i can send some additional documents supporting the cause that i failed to fill the second preferred NOC category and please consider me in this category now (something like that)

Please do tell me if anything negative there in reapplying like this now or else i should wait till coming july to apply once again if dentists are still included?

    1. If you are THAT sure your application was declined or sent back, then please reapply with the other NOC. As long as you are not playing with the job duties you performed, it should be fine.

please do tell me if you know regarding such a case where a dentist applied as a hygienist or therapist and got P.R ?

which one is safer bet ? to apply as a therapist this time or wait till july?

    1. May be you can wait until July :(. The thing is you have convinced them you are a dentist and now if you apply as a therapist, you will have to play with your job description which they will be skeptic about. Supposing if they are not convinced that you are not a therapist, you are not better off applying as a dentist again next time around. Let’s hope for the best and I wish you good luck.

I am intending on sending this with my application to the New Delhi consulate for further processing as i am an Indian citizen. Do have any idea if such applications with CSQ issued outside india are eligible for processing within India. Also, do you have an ideas about the current timeline for such applications?

Also, wot specifically will the Canadian government check in the medical exam. I am having some issues with my blood pressure not being normal. Does that matter?

You website is a source of great information. Thanks for all the great work you have done in setting it up.

    Hi Indira,
I am a prejune applicant (NDVO) waiting for PR (FSW) since April 2010. But still my ECAS is showing RBVO (2nd AOR- Jan, 2011).
I don’t know when CIC really starts to process my file.
What I wanted to know is my spouse is also fit under the FSW NOCs. Can we separately apply for PR (making my spouse as principle applicant) without withdrawing my current file?
I am really looking for your valuable suggestion.

    Visa Office……: ND
    NOC Code……: 0311
    App. Filed…….: April 2010
    Doc’s Request.: 10/08/2010
    AOR Received.: 10/01/2011
    File Status: RBVO
    Medical: Waiting…..

    1. Yes, by all means you can apply with your wife as PA again.

    Hi;

Yesterday i got rejected letter from London embassy.I applied with this NOC 0213.There are saying that we are not satisfied with your job as Computer Systems Manager,Even though my Job description are 100 % matched with their requirements.

I got this rejected letter after In Process status. Please help how can i appeal & get accepted?

My final submission were Feb 2010.

    Need your reply.

    Many Thanks

    1. Well matching the NOC job description 100% could be a problem too.. We are not supposed to duplicate the NOC description for our job duties. You can try appealing by sending a letter from your employer stating your original job duties in your language to the VO.

        Thanks Indira,

Is it necessary to inform to visa office after leaving the job if I will not join any other job? My Visa consultant told me that I must not quit from my job until the process is going on.

I got the letter from NDVO which says that they have got my file, but my Ecas still shows your file is received on date…. by ……., i mean I don’t get any status about 2nd AOR on Ecas inspite I get it personally.

Is it normal or thing to worry about?

          Thanks

ECAS is not that much reliable!

            Indira Prabhakaran.

        1. You can quit any time after your application, provided you are still eligible for the application. Yes, you must inform the VO about the change in your employment situation.

  9. Hi Indira
I got the e-mail confirming my Positive eligibility review on Feb 23, 2012 upon the receiving my application package by Nova Scotia office on 3 January, 2012. When i checked my status immediately after that, I saw it saying IN PROCESS. Again, on 26 March, I got a snail mail issued by Singapore VO and it stated that they received my papers from CIO and that they will soon deal with it for a final decision. It also asked to inform them about any changes such as birth of child, address etc (if any) i the meantime. In this snail mail they included a different no. starting with a letter–My UCI no, is also given here.

Now, I have a few Questions:
    1. I know this visa office will undertake a review too, whether they use a third party usually. But what will this review include anymore, once CIO has sent the papers to VO after check?
    2. Is this background check is sure to be done by VO, or sometimes they skip it? I know one of my acquaintance now got his visa, but neither his employer, University nor himself received a phone call. He told me this after having authentic info from employer and Uni.
    3. On top of every other essential aspects of Application does an IELTS band score 7.5 0r 8 add any special impact on decision made at this time?
    4. Do you have any assumption about what percentage of applications being IN PROCESS like mine are finally victim to discard?
    5. What is the value of such IN PROCESS when every pixel of despair is lurking in the darkness of uncertainty? Ain’t it like feeding a hamburger before hanging (at least for some) ?

    1. Most of the answers are there in the process page of this blog. IELTS score will not be a factor unless it’s not logical or very low.

    Hi Indira,

I had applied initially on Dec 2007 through an agent. Thereafter i reapplied under FSW programme in May 2010. The application of May 2010 is in process but i was given a UCI instead of a fresh application. Now kindly guide me whether i can withdraw my earlier application as it seems that earlier cases may be returned. Also if i dont do that i shall have pay an extra fee of the agent. The second application was sent directly to Nova Scotia office. Kindly help.

    Dear Indira Garu,

I am an FSWP 2014 applicant and my application had been returned as i left NOC blank in schedule 3; the reason was i wanted to apply for more than one NOC and so i have used an anexure where i mentioned the relevent NOC codes.

Now i am planning to correct my mistake and resend the form; but the confusion i have is on the missing DDs on the returned package.

The returned package does not have the DD enclosed within, so wondering if i need to send new set of DD’s.

I enquired in my bank and the DDs are not encashed.

    Thanks,
    Harsha
