How do i notify the VO of changes in my situation?

I see a lot of people seeking for this info lately, as that most of them have received their PERs and are waiting for further contact from the Visa offices.

Before you receive your PER, you cannot update any information on your file to the CIO.

So, what situation changes are required to be reported to the VO?

Once you receive your PER from the CIO, as per that email, you are required to notify your VO about ANY changes to your situation such as birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc. In addition to this list, you may notify them of minor changes to your file too. For example, in case of any change in the contact details of your employer/Manager or changes to the POF details which may arise when you transfer the declared funds to some other account etc., This will ensure there are no discrepancies or inconsistencies while they perform the background checks:).

Yes, i have something to bring to their notice. How do i do that?

Please use the case specific form from your VO website. For New Delhi, here’s the link to the form. They have an option to attach scanned documents to the form. So, we are required to include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If the documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

    Hi There!!

I had a question, a friend of mine is a pre-26/6 applicant. He has rec. his AOR and has submitted his docs to the VO (London), but has not rec. 2nd AOR…He plans to get married in a couple of months…should he “add” his spouse to his application (pay her fess and submit her docs) or should he wait?
    Thanks.

      Hello there,

I suggest you ask him to email London VO about this and proceed accordingly.

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.

Well, to be honest, I’m not sure. They are taking more time for this batch and I suggest you send a case specific inquiry into your application.

      Thanks,

      Indira Prabhakaran.
