Quick note to my readers!

Hi All!

Hope you are doing well.. I know it’s been a while since the last post, but I’m still committed to reply to every single query possible. I can understand your frustrations and anxiety during the long uncertain wait for visas and I try my best to make that process as smooth as possible.

As already indicated elsewhere, I’m not a professional immigration consultant. Nor do I charge people for my suggestions and views here. I receive tons of emails apart from these comments and queries everyday and I try my best to reply all of them. Sometimes there is a lag of a few days and yes I do ensure the delay isn’t more than a few days.

That being said, I notice that 70% of the queries are very similar asking when they would get medicals, visas or what is the next stage of the process. Well, I keep repeating the same answers again and again. For once,

It could take anywhere from 15 days to 6 months or even more to receive medicals after they start to process your file.

It could take anywhere from 15 days to 6 months or even more to receive stamped passports after they receive the medicals reports, RPRF fee, passports and ALL required documents.

It all depends on a number of factors known and unknown and there is no way we can predict timelines. We always go with the average timelines for a batch of applications.

Please note that I will not be answering queries with these 3 questions and I hope you understand.

I wish you all good luck for faster visas and a very good life ahead!

    Hello Indira,

Thank u very much for ur reply. I knew that no body is able to answer my question. But what to do except asking the same question repeatedly?. See when I applied in March 30th, 2004 under skilled category, I was only 33 yrs old and now I am already 41yrs and still not heard from Canadian Embassy regarding my visa. It is going to be 8 years in this March since I applied and is still under processing. Is it not injustice to people? When I appiled for Jobs in Canada, I was asked whether I had work permit. It is a vicious circle as I am not going to get work permit unless an employer offers me a job. It is OK, I should not bother u with my grievance as u cannot help me in this regard.

    Thanks once again,
    Rashmi Naik

    1. Well, you are not alone! Please do not lose hope and try to reapply under the new instructions if possible.

I have a question regarding sending passport to India. My wife works in Singapore and i am in India. We have to submit the medicals and passports before march 15th. She will get leave only for one month maximum. Can she have her medicals done from Singapore and send the passport via courier to India. So, i can send it to Delhi. Please reply.

    thank you

    1. She can do her medicals in Singapore with a registered DMP but CANNOT send the passports by courier. It’s illegal to send Indian passports out of the country by mail, courier etc.,

    Hello Indira,

Appreciate your time and effort in answering all those quieries which come to you…Great Job !

Hope you would be able to clarify my doubt tooo.
I had rsent in my Full documents on Dec 2010 and received my 2nd AOR on May 2011.But I still cant access my Ecas using the file number noted iin the 2nd AOR, where i can acess Ecas with my first file number.Though the Ecas shows RBVO…the messagee inside says my file is pending review.
Normally I guess there would also be a line stating when they have transferred your File to thee concerned VO.But this messgae doesnt appear in my Ecas RBVO statssu details. Does that eman the they havent yet transferred my File to the VO..Also isnt it strange that I cant access my Ecas with the 2nd File Number?

    1. It could be because of the transition of the CAIPS and GCMS. Also there are more bugs in ECAS these days. As long as you received a 2nd AOR, your file is in queue for processing and not to worry.

    Hello Indira,

What do they provide in documents along with Stamped passports when they grant the Visas?
Are there any letters regarding Visas?
