Yeah! First MR/PPR/RPRF for ND VO

Yes, we received the first medicals, Right of Permanent Resident Fees and passports request from the New Delhi Visa office on 26th Feb, 2011 for a member of our group. Please note that Manila Visa Office has already issued 6 medicals and RPRF requests to Our group includes applicants from around the world, under FSW stream, who had applied under the latest rules, post June 26th, 2010(the 28 Occupations list).

So, we are looking at a time frame of not more than 6 months from now for our Visas :).

BTW our application is still stuck with the CIO or on the way swimming to ND VO. Hope to get some good news soon.

Canada! Here we come 🙂

Well, the mail you received is your 2nd AOR probably. It could take up to 4 months(expect it earlier though) to receive medicals.

    Hi Indira,

I read all you have wriiten about your journey….Congrats..:-)

I just have a question: recently I received an email from NDVO stating that we have to do our medicals, submit RPRF and passports…I chose Delhi VO but currently me and my husband are in Australia….Can I get my medicals done here? And since we are in another country do you think its legal to send passports away for 3-4 weeks…?

And just a last thing: RPRF letter mentiones 3 different payments:

    1. Permanenet Resident Visas – $550 CAD Per person

Right of Permanent resident fee – $490CAD

    2. Temporary resident visa – ******

    3. Study permits – *******

So my question is Do I have pay both Permanent resident visa and RPRF or just one….Please advise as I am really confused…

I will really apprecite if you can explain me what to do?

Yes you can do your medicals in Australia, but it has to be from a designated medical professional of CIC. Ensure the results are sent to NDVO and not the Australian VO. If you hold Indian passports, it’s illegal to send the passports out of any country by post/courier. You mentioned NDVO asked for RPRF payments and why this confusion? It’s obviously the Right of Permanent Residence fee!

    Hi Indira,

Thanks for ur reply. NDVO has asked for my passports as well. What do u think will be the best option since I cant send my pp to India? Please suggest something????

RPRF is $490 per person, isn’t it?

    1. Indira

Yes the amount is correct. I would suggest you to travel to India and then submit your passports. But then you cannot have commitments to return until the passports are stamped and returned. It could take as long as 6 months. Be prepared. But I wish and hope you get it in 20 days 🙂

hello mam yest i recieved a letter frm ndvo in subject of sending the demand draft for rprf again as the previous one had more ammount than required and that happent because of change in the rate of dollar over 20 days , this time i will send d draft in cad itself , will they now take more time to reply or complete the case or i can expect it anytime soon ??? please reply im really worried

    thanks !

    1. Indira

Oops! You should send the RPRF in INR! Why convert the CAD? There should be an amount in INR on the medicals and RPRF request forms. Check and send that amount.
